The medical waste cold room is specialised equipment for storing medical and organic waste.

The cold room for medical waste has the following standard features:

• temperature range: +2/+8 degrees Celsius;
• side-mounted condensing unit;
• fan cooling;
• stainless steel external casing;
• stainless steel internal casing;
• automatic defrost;
• doors and portholes that can be opened;
• automatic condensate evaporation;
• controller with digital temperature display.

Optionally, the medical waste cold room can be fitted with a 120-litre container.

The cold room is available in sizes of 1000 mm and 1670 mm.

If the equipment for low-temperature thermal decontamination of hazardous medical waste is not located within healthcare units, the hazardous waste must be stored temporarily, until processing, in cold rooms operating in accordance with the legal provisions in force. The usable volume of the cold room must be at least equal to the volume of waste processed per day.
